Montessori puzzle - bird

This Montessori puzzle helps children learn about birds through understanding the details and the whole. By putting the puzzle together, children can see how a bird is made up of different parts, and can examine and name them one by one – wings, beak, body, etc. This way, they can understand the bird much more deeply than just looking at a picture.

The puzzle supports a child's concentration and logical thinking, while developing hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity. Lifting and replacing pieces gives the child the opportunity to work at their own pace and learn through repetition and discovery, which is an important part of the Montessori approach.
