Life Cycle of a Monarch Butterfly

12,39

From nearly invisible eggs, tiny striped caterpillars emerge. They begin feeding on the surrounding milkweed leaves immediately, storing food for the transition to come. After two weeks, they form a chrysalis, from which a monarch butterfly emerges after another two weeks.

The set is an excellent tool for both home learning and play activities as well as for supporting class or group discussions and is well suited for taking to the garden, park or nature for observation and introduction. Thanks to the figures, the life cycle of a butterfly becomes visible, developing the child's interest in animals and nature and enriching vocabulary and thinking through play and discovery. Each figure has realistic colors and features that make play and learning both engaging and educational.

Safari LTD is a family-owned business that has been creating high-quality, educational animal figures since 1982. The company’s story began with Bernard and Rosemarie Rubel’s desire to introduce children to the beauty of nature and the importance of endangered species. Their passion quickly grew into a world-renowned brand, characterized by its detailed, science-based, hand-painted figures.

Today, Safari LTD is run by the third generation of the family, continuing the mission of “Toys That Teach™.” The brand is known for its nature-inspired selection, which includes real animals, dinosaurs, and fantasy creatures. All figures are made from safe, non-toxic materials and are designed to encourage children to explore the world through play and learning.
